Capcom Digital Collection announced for 360

We've reached the Event Horizon! The point where remakes are rebundled and relaunched. If you're a Capcom fan and have put off trying any of the HD remakes Capcom has put out for XBLA, then this is for you. Included in this bundle is: 1942 Joint Strike, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, Final Fight Double Impact, Flock!, Rocketmen: Axis of Evil, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Super Street Fighter II HD Remix and Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3. All of the games will be in at least some form of HD and will have all the features their XBLA counterpart did. This time around these games will be thrown onto a disc and will have a 40 dollar asking price. Now I'm looking forward to the inevitable 3D remake of the rereleased bundle of the HD remakes of the original classics.

Review: Castlevania: Harmony of Despair

To preface this, previous to HoD I hadn't played a Castlevania game since Super Castlevania IV, so I was expecting something in that ilk. I was also expecting some nice HD upgrade like Street Fighter received; that is not the case. When you first start off you'll probably be really confused. The game doesn't do much to acclimate you to how the game works, which is admittedly a lot different than previous iterations.

PSN title Explodemon! announced for Q4 2010

Curve Studios announced Explodemon! for PSN coming Q4 this year. If your like me and never heard of it don't fret, I'll give you a quick synopsis. The goal for Explodemon! is to create an old school SNES style platformer in HD and 2.5D. Like most platformers nowadays Explodemon! will have a physics-puzzle twist to it. The general concept of the main character feels a bit too familiar to a certain other game released not to long ago, since as the name suggests, Explodemon self destructs to fling himself through the air and to attack enemies.

With that said, Explodemon! sticks out as slightly more unique than most other platformers you might see coming out on PSN or XBLA these days because it isn't trying to be artsy or revolutionary. The point is to bring the old school feel of great platformers from the SNES era back to gamers who grew up with them and also to younger gamers who never played anything before Xbox. If it does feel like a great SNES game I think it'll do pretty good. Although I'd personally love to see a release for XBLA, seeing as I and probably some of you don't own a PS3. Be sure to check the image gallery after the break to get an idea of what Explodemon! looks like.
