RIFT dev diary highlights PvP

An integral part of MMO's nowadays is how the PvP is handled. When its done right it can add quite a bit to the game. Blizzard even made an e-sport out of the arena system they implemented in WoW. The devs over at Trion Worlds explain the different mechanics of their PvP and why PvP is handled uniquely in RIFT. From the sounds of it they will focus more on open world PvP, which is something WoW has been lacking since the inclusion of battlegrounds. Check the video after the break for all the details.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm collector's edition announced

The collector's edition for Cataclysm will go for $80 whenever it comes out. The set includes: a 176 page art book, the Lil' Deathwing in-game pet, a behind the scenes DVD, the Cataclysm soundtrack, a Deathwing mouse pad and a starter deck from the Wrathgate series of the CCG. While all these things are well in good, the contents are pretty much identical from earlier WoW expansions.

Then again, you know you'll buy it, even though you don't play the CCG or anything like that. If your a WoW player that is. On a side note, I'll be surprised if this expansion doesn't include an authenticator. Click through for a full size version of the header image if you wanna see all the little text details.
